Presentation at ACF

On Thursday, September 16, our co-founder, Courtney Furlong, gave a presentation at the weekly meeting at Auburn Christian Fellowship (ACF). She talked about how she got involved in working in human trafficking and how others can get involved with our club.

Two ways students can get involved are by becoming a peer-to-peer trainer or an ambassador. Peer-to-peer trainers learn about common myths and misconceptions regarding human trafficking and then go out to local club and organization meetings in order to educate others about the realities of human trafficking. They also help to spread the word about how other students can get involved with SAHT at Auburn. Ambassadors partner directly with specific service providers in the area to help facilitate relations between the club and the organization. This helps us to better meet the needs of local organizations and do our part to support victims and survivors of human trafficking.

If you're interested in either of these roles, you can fill out the form on our AUInvolve page!
